COCIS is excited to announce they have extended their department to include a Mortgage Broking Service available now to service all COC church members who have a need of a home loan.
COCIS introduces Brad Thrupp who has been contracted by COCIS as a loan writer and has over 13 years experience in the banking/mortgage broking industry.
Brad is married with 2 grown children. He has been a member of Redcliffe COC since 1977 and was a founding member of the youth group. He then spent the next 14 years as an administrator and assistant Pastor.
Brad moved into the financial services industry in 1992 where he worked 13 years in a major bank. He said that “working in a major bank was a dynamic place to be exposed to a culture of growth and change”.
More recently he has thoroughly enjoyed the lifestyle change that came with becoming a Mortgage Broker.
Brad explains that COC clients get a unique proposition where the client does not pay a fee for service and advice, yet gets the best loan available to suit their circumstances and pay no more than if they had done all the leg work themselves.
COCIS Mortgage Broking Service has access to over 30 different banks/lenders to ensure best rates are accessed.
So, does he favour a few lenders over the rest just because there may be a better ‘kick back’ available?
His emphatic response is “all client conversations starts with a blank sheet. We discuss what your needs are, and then find the lender that has the best deal available. Every other day, some lender will announce a special promotion that is available exclusively to broker clients”.
He described his approach with “I am here to work for the client, not the lender”.
A bank can tell you about the best they have to offer out their range, a Broker can provide what is the best available in the whole market.
